At the beginning of 1990, she started performing professionally and dancing with The Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Then she moved to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. When she moved to Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career following her film debut, in which she appeared as a shaky but charming contestant.
